What Are Opening Hours For Reception?
Reception is open daily from 7:30AM to 8:00PM.

I'm arriving when reception is closed, how do I get my room key?
In advance of your accommodation booking check-in date please contact Queenslander Hotels reception staff between the hours of 7:30AM and 8:00PM by phone (+617 40510122), fax (+617 40311867) or email (res@queenslanderhotels.com.au). Upon confirmation of your reservation you will be advised of our late check-in procedure.

How Do I Contact Reception From My Room Phone?
Simply dial ‘9’ from your room phone (service available 24hrs).

Do You Have Early Arrival Or Late Departure Procedures?
Check-in time is after 2pm and check out time is 10am. If you arrive before 2pm you're most welcome to store your luggage (see receptionist) until your room is ready. Likewise, on departure day you will need to check-out of your room by 10.00am, luggage storage is available ( free of charge) and you can continue to use the swimming pools and rest /shower rooms until departure.

Does My Stay Include Courtesy Airport Transfers?
Not provided by Queenslander Hotels. Transfer options from either Cairns Domestic or International Airports include self drive hire vehicles or taxi and coaches. Cairns Airport - approx. 10-15 mins by vehicle to your accommodation.

How Do I To Get To My Accommodation By Car?
If travelling south bound into Cairns along the Captain Cook Hwy from Palm Cove/Northern Beaches & Airport, upon entering Cairns City, (North Cairns) along Sheridan Street, drive past the Toobruk Memorial Swimming Baths on your left and take the 3rd left exit into Mckenzie Street. Follow through to the roundabout and exit right into Lake Street, the Tropical Queenslander will be in view to the right and approx 80metres drive further along (heading south) the Cairns Queenslander Apartments (to the drivers right) will come into view opposite the Mercure Harbourside Hotel.

If travelling north bound on the Bruce Highway, when you see the Sign ‘Welcome to Cairns’ follow directions to the City Centre & Esplanade. Continue along Mulgrave Road and then left onto Florence Street. You will pass through 4 sets of traffic lights and then at the first roundabout turn left onto Lake Street. Five blocks further North you will see the Cairns Queenslander Apartments located on the left hand side immediately after Charles Street and opposite the Mercure Harbouside Hotel. Tropical Queenslander is only 80metres further North also on the left hand side.

Is There Onsite Car Parking Available At My Accommodation?
Both properties provide free of charge onsite parking. Locked undercover parking at the Cairns Queenslander (subject to car space availability) is open daily from 7:30AM until 8PM. The height of our undercover car park entry is 2.10metres.

Do Your Rooms Offer Ocean/Sea Views?
Our properties are located one block from Cairns Esplanade / foreshore and being low rise accommodation, there are no views of the ocean available.

Does My Room Have A Balcony Or Garden Terrace?
Some rooms types at either property do feature a balcony or garden terrace. This feature cannot be guaranteed and is subject to room availability. Check your room description.

Can I Bring My Own Cooking Appliance?
Due to fire regulations, we do not allow guests to bring their own cooking appliances. All rooms have kitchen facilities, cutlery, crockery, microwave , also two burner cooktops, toaster, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities.

How Far Away Is The Esplanade & Cairns CBD From My Accommodation?
The Esplanade North Parklands is only a short walk away (approx 3-5 minutes) from either property. Cairns CBD is approx 1.5 km south approximately a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk.

Is There A Convenience Store Nearby Where I Can Buy Groceries?
Situated on Sheridan Street, only a 4 -10 minute walk from either property you will find a 24hr Night Owl Mini Mart, IGA Supermarket, Liquor Store, Bakery, Deli, Chinese Takeaway, Seafood Takeaway, Kebabs & Hot Chicken, Italian Pizza’s & Pasta available. Also for your convenience within this group of shops is a Hairdresser & Gymnasium.

Are The Property Swimming Pools Heated?
All swimming pools provided are not heated; this is normal practice due to the tropical climate.

Will Linen Be Provided?
All rooms have linen provided.

When Is My Room Serviced?
Before checking into your accommodation your allocated room will have been thoroughly cleaned. If you are staying further nights, a DAILY MINI SERVICE will be provided. This includes, replenishment of tea, coffee & toiletries, clean towels provided if required, bed tidied and rubbish removed. On the 7th day of your stay a FULL ROOM SERVICE will be provided, this includes the Daily Mini Service plus the changing of bed linen, all floors & bathroom cleaned.

Why Do We Have To Upgrade To A Bigger Room Just Because Of One Extra Child?
Due to hotel policy, each room type has a maximum person capacity.

How Much Does It Cost To Use The Washing Machines & Dryers?
Each laundry machine costs AUD $2.00 to operate per washing or drying cycle (2 x $1 coins). Laundry powder is available at reception at the cost of $1.00 per packet.

Is There A Safety Deposit Box Available?
See reception. Use is free of charge during your stay. All safety boxes are subject to availability.

Can Guest Luggage Be Stored?
Yes, we can store your luggage at either property free of charge.
